6520--Notice of Intent to Sole Source - Dental Vacuum Compressor - Emergency

The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing a notice of intent to sole source a contract for a Dental Vacuum Compressor system, which includes an Amalgam Separator and multiple vacuums. The system is critical for dental service and patient care, and the current system has failed due to the unavailability of repair parts. The contractor will provide the product/service to the James H. Quillen VAMC in Mountain Home, TN. The period of performance is 90 days. Interested parties may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, but a determination not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. • The system must be able to filter mercury-containing filling particles from wastewater. • The system must have multiple vacuums to increase suction as demand increases. • The system must be able to support the dental clinic's operations without disrupting patient care. • The contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award. • The contractor must submit a current authorized distributor letter from the manufacturer.
