Whitfield Hall HVAC Rooftop Unit Replacement

The University is seeking a qualified contractor to fully replace two existing rooftop HVAC units (RTU‑1 and RTU‑2) at Whitfield Hall with new 25‑ton Trane packaged units, including all associated demolition, crane services, structural modifications, electrical work, controls integration, testing, and commissioning. The scope is turnkey and requires field verification, procurement, installation, and close‑out documentation. • Supply and install two 25‑ton electric/electric packaged rooftop units (model EDK300A3S0A**07) with R‑454B refrigerant and Symbio 700 controls. • Perform complete demolition and safe removal of existing units, including refrigerant recovery. • Provide mobile crane, rigging, and all lift‑plan services; verify roof curb and structural capacity. • Execute all electrical upgrades, conduit, disconnects, and grounding to support 72 kW electric heaters per unit. • Integrate new units with existing Building Automation System and life‑safety interfaces. • Conduct startup, testing, balancing, and commissioning with Trane factory‑start service. • Deliver as‑built drawings, O&M manuals, training, and final close‑out documentation.
