Rifle Testing

The Texas Department of Public Safety is seeking responses for the testing of short barrel rifles for TXDPS duty use. This solicitation is for testing and evaluation only. Selected rifles will be solicited and awarded under a separate opportunity. The rifles for testing will be provided by the vendor at no cost to DPS. The bid must include all required information in the format specified, and DPS will evaluate responses based on the best value standard. • The solicitation includes various requirements such as pricing, invoice, and payment requirements. • Bidders must submit electronic responses no later than 5:00 P.M. Central Time on 7/13/2026. • The bid must be submitted via the email address stated or the DPS Online Bid Room. • DPS reserves the right to reject any or all bids, accept other than the lowest priced bid, and waive minor informalities and minor irregularities in bids received.
