Annual Tree Pruning & Removal Services

The City of Lakeland is seeking a qualified tree‑trimming contractor to provide annual pruning and removal of trees and palms throughout city rights‑of‑way, parks, alleys and other designated areas. The contractor must supply crew supervision, labor, equipment (including bucket trucks, chippers, traffic control), tools, materials, and all necessary safety certifications. Work may be performed near energized power lines, so proper training and traffic control are required. The contract runs through September 30 2027 with up to four one‑year renewal options. Proposals are due electronically by 3:00 pm on October 15 2026. Evaluation will consider cost (30 %), proximity to the city (20 %), staffing, experience (10 % each), safety record (10 %), and equipment (10 %). Required submissions include W‑9, Sunbiz registration, equipment list, ten similar project references, staff resumes, and safety documentation.
