The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 19, intends to award a sole source procurement to the University of Colorado for the 23rd Annual Geriatric Conference. The conference will educate a multi-professional audience on advancing care for older adults with serious illnesses, focusing on unique challenges and needs of geriatric patients facing hospitalization and surgery. The conference will address key policy issues, promote best practices, support professional development, and provide Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits for participants. • The conference will be held on August 27-28, 2026. • The University of Colorado, Division of Geriatrics, is the only academic source in Colorado hosting a regional geriatric specific conference. • The conference will include topics such as aligning surgery with patients' goals, managing geriatric specific health needs, improving discharge processes, and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration in care. • The event aims to promote best practices, support professional development, and provide Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits for participants.
