Description
The Alaska Legislature intends to award a contract for the modernization of the elevators in the State Capitol building. The selected contractor will be responsible for design, engineering, removal of existing equipment, installation of new elevator systems, testing, commissioning, and related project management services. The work will be performed statewide with primary activities at the Capitol in Juneau. • Scope includes full elevator modernization (hardware, controls, safety systems). • Must comply with state building codes and accessibility standards. • Contractor will manage demolition, installation, testing, and training of Capitol staff. • Project likely requires coordination with legislative schedules to minimize disruption. • Award will be made to the offeror with the highest evaluated score (Otis Elevator Company noted as leading).
