The City of Presque Isle and Presque Isle International Airport are seeking a law firm to serve as special legal counsel on a contingency‑fee basis for all matters arising from PFAS contamination affecting City‑owned assets. The firm will handle the entire litigation lifecycle—from initial assessment and historical investigation through expert coordination, damages quantification, insurance recovery, trial, settlement, and post‑settlement administration. The engagement remains in effect until all services are completed or the contract is terminated. • Provide full‑scale litigation services (pleadings, discovery, trial, appeals) on a contingency‑fee basis. • Conduct environmental and historical investigations of airport, former military base, landfill, and fire‑department PFAS sources. • Coordinate expert teams, evaluate insurance coverage, and manage recovery of damages and reimbursements. • Report to City officials, attend public meetings, and assist with allocation of any recoveries. • Must advance all litigation expenses and be financially capable of multi‑year, high‑cost litigation.
