Comprehensive Medical Servcies

The Commonwealth of Kentucky, Department of Corrections, is seeking proposals from contractors to provide comprehensive medical services to inmates. The contractor will be responsible for providing all health care services, including general and specialty care, mental health services, and vision services. The contractor must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including the American Correctional Association (ACA) standards. The contract will be for a period of two years, with the option to renew. The contractor will be required to provide a comprehensive plan for health care services during a pandemic or public health emergency. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing comprehensive medical services to inmates • Complying with ACA standards and all applicable laws and regulations • Providing mental health services and vision services • Developing a comprehensive plan for health care services during a pandemic or public health emergency • Maintaining confidentiality of inmate Protected Health Information • Cooperating with the Commonwealth to ensure compliance with the Privacy Rules
