One (1) new 71-passenger Gas Bus & One (1) new 50 passenger "Special Needs" Gas Bus

The Post Falls School District #273 is seeking proposals for the purchase of one new 71-passenger gas school bus and one new 50-passenger "special needs" gas school bus. The buses must meet or exceed all Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) and the requirements of the State of Idaho's latest revision of Standards for Idaho School Buses and Operations (SISBO). The buses will be used for student transportation and must be delivered by April 1, 2026. • The 71-passenger bus must be a Type-C bus with a 240-256" wheelbase and a 10,000 lb front axle capacity. • The 50-passenger "special needs" bus must also be a Type-C bus with a similar wheelbase and axle capacity. • Both buses must have a gas engine, automatic transmission, and air brakes. • The buses must be equipped with various safety features, including daytime running lights, LED lights, and a video surveillance system. • The bidder must provide a detailed specification of the buses, including the chassis, power train, and body. • The bidder must also provide a warranty and service agreement for the buses.
