Hay and Straw for Kentucky Horse Park

The Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking bids for the provision of hay and straw for the Kentucky Horse Park. The solicitation includes five line items: Baled Straw, Baled Hay - Orchard Grass / Alfalfa, Baled Hay - Timothy Grass / Alfalfa, Baled Hay - Timothy Grass / Orchard Grass, and Baled Hay - Western Straight Alfalfa. Vendors must provide high-quality products that meet the specified requirements, and deliveries must be made within 7 days from the date of order. The evaluation criteria include bid information, best price, and best delivery. • The products must be free from foreign matter, excessive seed heads, weeds, and dust and mold. • The bales should be 4-60 lbs. in total weight and be either two or three string tied. • The hay should be of the following average rations: 60% Orchard grass, clover or similar quality and mixture and 40% Alfalfa. • The vendor will be responsible for providing all labor and equipment necessary to unload delivery into the appropriate hay loft. • The vendor should be prepared to include a weight ticket showing the final loaded weight for each delivery.
