Autonomous Mowing Equipment

The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) is seeking information on commercially available autonomous mowing equipment. The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to gather information on existing autonomous mower technologies, their operational capabilities, and their applicability to MnDOT's roadway, rest areas, surrounding areas, traffic management, and vegetation management needs. MnDOT will be hosting a one-day autonomous mower demonstration, and interested suppliers are invited to participate. Suppliers are required to provide responses to several questions, including availability and willingness to participate, demonstration area and operation information, and site preparation. • The RFI is issued solely for information gathering and planning purposes. • The information may be used in a subsequent procurement process. • MnDOT appreciates the willingness of suppliers to support this research effort.
