Budget estimate

$200,000 – $500,000

Based on typical federal contracts for fire alarm inspection and maintenance at historic sites, the scope (full‑time labor, travel to two locations, parts, testing equipment, and a 12‑month performance period) would likely fall in the low‑to‑mid six‑figure range. Assuming an average hourly rate of $80‑$120 for skilled technicians, plus parts and travel, a reasonable estimate is roughly $200,000 at the low end and up to $500,000 if extensive repairs or equipment replacements are required. Factors influencing the final amount include the condition of existing systems, frequency of unscheduled repairs, and any additional reporting or preservation requirements imposed by the NPS.
