Furnishing, Delivery and Installation of Propane Tanks and Fuel to the Department of Parks and Recreation

The County of Maui is seeking bids for the furnishing, delivery, and installation of propane tanks and fuel to the Department of Parks and Recreation. The contract will be for a one-year term commencing on July 1, 2026, with the option to renew for an additional year. The contractor will be responsible for installing propane tanks, pipelines, and high-pressure and second-stage low-pressure regulators, as well as furnishing liquefied propane gas on a weekly basis. The contractor will also be required to perform at least 14 hours of servicing and repair of the pool propane-connected equipment per year. Some key points to consider include: • The contractor must have at least five years of experience in the field of liquefied petroleum gas handling, including LPG delivery, transfer, and tank storage. • The contractor must have at least five years of experience in installing LPG tanks and servicing and repairing LPG equipment and piping. • The contractor will be responsible for ensuring that the proposed placement of the propane tank satisfies all applicable laws and regulations. • The contractor will be required to make gas deliveries to each pool every week and fully fill the tank to approximately 85% full with each filling. • The contractor will be responsible for assisting the County with additional servicing or repair work beyond the included 14 hours of servicing and repair.
