The University of New Mexico Hospital (UNMH) is seeking a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive Extended Business Office (EBO) services across its health‑system entities, encompassing high‑volume accounts receivable processing, patient‑facing communications, payment‑plan management, and full‑scale revenue‑cycle management. The scope includes daily posting of account data, bi‑weekly AR reconciliation, robust reporting, on‑site staffing, compliance with HIPAA and New Mexico billing statutes, and a secure patient portal. The contract will handle an existing inventory valued at roughly $150 M and new monthly assignments exceeding $18 M for UNMH and $3.7 M for UNM Medical Group. • Core services: daily account posting, auditing, collections, three statements and three calls per account (UNMH) or six statements/calls (UNM Medical Group). • Technical requirements: XML data feeds, integration with Cerner Soarian Financials and Athena IDX, secure data transfer, 24/7 call‑center support, and a patient‑portal for online payments. • Staffing & compliance: minimum three on‑site staff (≥ 50 % Spanish‑fluent), $1.05 M general & professional liability insurance, adherence to No‑Surprises Act and NM statutes, and detailed performance metrics (AHT, abandonment, speed‑to‑answer).
