Spots and Futures

The USDA Rural Development’s MTED (Market and Trade Economic Development) program is preparing to issue a solicitation for the provision of Futures Price Data to support its Outlook and research initiatives. The work will be performed virtually, with the contractor required to coordinate across multiple U.S. time zones (primarily Central and Eastern). The anticipated period of performance is twelve months beginning September 2026. No set‑aside status is indicated, and any qualified source may submit a quotation, bid, or proposal once the formal solicitation is released. • Provide accurate, up‑to‑date futures price data for commodities relevant to MTED’s outlook reports. • Deliver data through a mutually agreed virtual platform (Zoom, Teams, etc.). • Align delivery schedules with MTED staff located in Kansas City, MO (CST) and Washington, D.C. (EST). • Maintain data confidentiality and security as required by USDA policies. • Support the MTED team with periodic data updates and ad‑hoc analysis throughout the 12‑month contract period.
