NWFWMD Independent Financial Audit Services

The Northwest Florida Water Management District (NWFWMD) is seeking a qualified Certified Public Accounting firm to provide independent financial audit services for the District’s fiscal year ending September 30, 2026, and to perform single audits in accordance with federal and state auditing standards. The contract will initially run for three (3) years with three optional one‑year renewals, subject to funding and mutual agreement. Proposals must be submitted electronically via DemandStar by 2:00 p.m. ET on September 23, 2026. The selection process includes a public committee meeting on September 14, 2026, and a governing‑board review on September 14, 2026. The District requires detailed organizational, personnel, and cost information, as well as references from at least three Florida governmental clients. • Scope: Annual financial statement audit and single audit for FY 2026, plus optional audits for FY 2027‑2029. • Deliverables: Audit report, draft and final reports, compliance testing, and assistance with any additional audit‑related tasks. • Contract term: 3‑year base term with up to three 1‑year extensions. • Submission: Electronic via DemandStar; questions due September 9, 2026. • Evaluation criteria: Organizational experience, personnel qualifications, references, technical approach, and cost effectiveness.
