Seed Mixing, Storage, and Delivery of Wildflower and Native Grass Seeds

The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking competitive quotations to mix, store, and deliver native wildflower and grass seed to four of its maintenance garages. The work is measured per pound of pure live seed (PLS) and includes rapid (≤48‑hour) delivery after notification, with delivery windows in fall 2026 or spring 2027. One award will cover all four locations, with separate purchase orders for each garage. • Scope: Mix native seed blends, provide appropriate storage, and deliver approx. 8,019 lb of pure live seed to Sioux City, West Burlington, Coralville, and Council Blues garages. • Delivery: FOB Destination; delivery must occur within 48 hours of DOT notification, within either Nov 1 – Dec 15 2026 or Apr 1 – May 31 2027. • Evaluation: “Most advantageous” – cost plus other factors (staffing, schedule, past performance, etc.). • Contract: Single award, separate PO per garage; payment Net 60; Iowa DOT is tax‑exempt and will provide exemption certificates on request.
