Engineering Professional Services Continuing Contract - (2nd Advertisement)

The Escambia County Board of County Commissioners’ (BOCC) Engineering Department is seeking professional engineering services for various projects on an as-needed, task-order basis. The selected consultant will provide services such as civil, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, hydrologic, geotechnical, environmental, surveying, mapping, and computer-aided design (CAD) support. The consultant will be required to execute a task order that specifies the scope of services, task schedule, and compensation. The contract will be renewed automatically at the end of each term, unless terminated by the county in writing. Some of the key services include: • Hydraulics and Hydrology Engineering: modeling, analyzing, and designing coastal restoration and flood protection structures • Structural Engineering: analyzing and designing horizontal and vertical structures, including coastal and flood protection structures • Geotechnical Engineering: performing geotechnical investigations, analyses, and design, including land-based exploration, marine/deep water exploration, and marsh/shallow water exploration • General Engineering: performing engineering design on coastal restoration, flood protection, and general engineering projects • Project Management: managing coastal restoration and flood protection projects, including developing budgets and schedules, scoping, and administering tasks for sub-consultants • Surveying Services: providing all surveying services necessary to perform topographic, bathymetric, and boundary surveying • Environmental and Permitting Services: obtaining project permits, including cultural resources clearances, NEPA documentation, wetland permits, and state permits • Construction Administration and Inspection: performing construction administration and inspection services on BOCC projects.
