On-Call Professional Services for Beaufort County

Beaufort County is seeking qualification statements from firms for On-Call Professional Services for projects under $50,000. The selected firms will provide services such as marine engineering, geotechnical engineering, construction inspections, surveying, environmental services, stormwater engineering, planning, land development, architecture, real estate services, and general services. The contract will have an initial term of one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year terms. The firms will be rotated to ensure all have a chance to participate. The qualification statement should include the firm's experience and qualifications, approach to the planning process, work plan and scheduling, and any exceptions or qualifications to the RFQ. Some of the key services that will be required include: • Marine engineering, including design of marine structures and shoreline stabilization plans • Geotechnical engineering, including geotechnical explorations and groundwater measurements • Construction inspections, including special inspections and pile testing • Surveying, including site surveys and bathymetric surveys • Environmental services, including Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments and wetlands identification • Stormwater engineering, including watershed plans and drainage assessments • Planning, land development, and architecture, including land planning, urban design, and landscape architecture The firms should have experience in these areas and be able to provide a work plan and schedule for the projects. They should also be able to provide any necessary certifications and licenses, and have the ability to obtain the necessary insurance coverage.
