Sale of Loose Scrap Metal

The Fort Knox Qualified Recycle Program is issuing an invitation to bid on the sale of an indefinite quantity of scrap metal. The duration of this solicitation is for 1 year. The bidder agrees to pick-up recyclable materials as determined by Fort Knox QRP, according to the specifications outlined in the solicitation. The bidder will provide transportation related to the pick-up and/or shipment of the recyclable materials with no charge to the QRP. The bidder agrees to conform to all state, federal, and local laws and regulations in the processing, sale, and disposal of materials received. • The bidder must provide a down payment of $15,000 after notification of winning the bid, but before making the initial pick-up. • The bidder will be invoiced monthly, with payment due within 30 calendar days from the date of invoicing. • The bidder agrees to pay Fort Knox QRP for the recyclable material according to the schedule outlined in the solicitation. • The bidder must provide the monthly market price for the loose ferrous scrap metal from the Iron Age “Scrap Price Bulletin” in writing via email to [email protected] no later than the 10th day of each month.
