City of Rapid City Sports Plex Architect/Engineer Services

The City of Rapid City is seeking Architect/Engineer (AE) services for a proposed new SportsPlex facility. The project aims to create a year-round experience for the community and area residents, featuring multi-use programming such as indoor activities, a turf area, spectator/bleacher area, concessions, and physical therapy/clinic space. The AE will be responsible for providing architectural, landscape architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering services. The City anticipates inviting proposers who are determined to be most qualified to participate in interviews, with the goal of selecting the most qualified firm to provide services for this project. Key aspects of the project include: • Programming and preliminary design • Master planning • Project cost estimating and schedule support • Schematic design, design development, construction documents, and administration The City will evaluate proposals based on company background, applicable and relevant sports and community experience, CMAR project delivery in South Dakota, team/personnel experience working together and on similar projects, and demonstrated knowledge of local and regional codes and regulations.
