The Hutchinson Correctional Facility is seeking bids for environmentally safe Canada goose control services. The contract term will be for 3 years from the date of award, with the possibility of 2 additional 12-month renewal periods. The vendor must provide harassment techniques to control the resident, local, and migratory Canada goose population using open class or better sheep trial dogs. The vendor must perform said techniques at a minimum of once per day, 5 to 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and have emergency dispatch capability included in the contract price. • The vendor must have knowledge of and adhere to all laws and regulations governing the management of Canada geese. • The vendor must provide documentation to educate and inform the public and/or press about the behavior and environmentally safe Canada goose control harassment techniques being used. • The vendor must have a minimum of one dog per visit and determine the number of dogs to be used based on the size of the area and quantity of geese to be controlled. • The vendor must provide a written report of addling, including the number of nests located, the number of eggs treated or destroyed, the location of each nest or site, the method used, and the permittee information.
