Morganza to the Gulf Project, Fresh/Intermediate Marsh Resources EFH, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, is seeking to purchase Fresh/Intermediate Marsh (FM/IM) Essential Fish Habitat (EFH) mitigation bank credits located in the Deltaic Plain. The credits are needed to compensate for unavoidable habitat losses caused by the construction of the Morganza to the Gulf (MTG) Project in the Louisiana Coastal Zone. The contractor must provide mitigation bank credits that match the habitat type being mitigated and have a duly-recorded perpetual conservation servitude/easement. The contractor must also provide a map showing the bank location and a signed copy of the Mitigation Purchase Agreement. • The contractor must be approved by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and be in full compliance with its Mitigation Banking Instrument and other legal instruments. • The contractor must provide credits in 1/10th acre increments. • The contractor must have mitigation credits assessed using version 2.0 of the Freshwater Marsh/Intermediate Marsh (FM/IM) Wetland Value Assessment (WVA) Community Model. • The contractor must have a current ledger information from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Regulatory In-Lieu Fee and Bank Information Tracking System (RIBITS) website.
