The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District is seeking to purchase Fresh/Intermediate Marsh (FM/IM) mitigation bank credits to compensate for unavoidable habitat losses caused by the Morganza to the Gulf Project. The credits must be located in the Deltaic Plain and meet specific eligibility requirements. The purchase will be made through a competitive solicitation/award process, and the award will be based on the lowest-price technically acceptable source selection process. Some key points to consider: • The credits must represent 118 average annual habitat units (AAHUs) to mitigate for impacts caused by the construction of the MTG Project in the CZ. • The mitigation bank must be approved by CEMVN and be in full compliance with its Mitigation Banking Instrument (MBI) and other legal instruments. • The bank must be physically located within the Deltaic plain and provide the habitat type that matches the habitat type being mitigated. • The bank must have mitigation credits assessed using version 2.0 of the Freshwater Marsh / Intermediate Marsh (FM/IM) Wetland Value Assessment (WVA) Community Model.
