The Missoula County RFP seeks a qualified rodeo stock contractor to supply all livestock, arena personnel, feed, equipment, and production services for the 2026‑2027 Missoula Stampede rodeo (a five‑night PRCA‑sanctioned event). The contractor must be a PRCA member in good standing, provide a full complement of rough‑stock and timed‑event animals, manage arena direction, recruit contestants, and meet robust insurance and animal‑welfare standards. In addition, the county will provide certain supports (lodging rooms, arena facilities, ambulance, veterinary services, and added‑money funds) while the contractor is responsible for all feed, gear, staffing, and day‑to‑day operations. The contract runs for an initial two‑year term with an option to extend up to five additional years.
• Supply and care for bare‑back horses, saddle broncs, bulls, steer‑wrestling steers, team‑roping steers, tie‑down calves, and mutton‑busting sheep (including breakaway roping).
• Provide arena staff (director, secretary, timers, bullfighters, pickup men, handlers) and all necessary feed, electric eye, and rough‑stock/timed‑event equipment.
• Deliver full production services: contestant recruitment, PRCA judging fees, judges’ horses, day‑sheet distribution, marketing asset sharing, and year‑round consultation.
• Maintain PRCA animal‑welfare standards, carry required insurance (minimum $1 M per occurrence, $2 M aggregate), and comply with County procurement policies and debarment certifications.
