The State of Vermont is seeking a qualified auctioneer (or auction firm) to provide both online and on‑site auction services for the disposal of surplus state‑owned vehicles, equipment, and other assets over a 24‑month base period, with up to three one‑year renewal options. The contractor must operate a real‑time online auction platform, handle all advertising, reporting, and settlement functions, and conduct an annual physical auction with full logistics, catering, and security provisions. Compensation will be based on a commission percentage of sales, with no buyer’s premium preferred. • Provide a fully functional online auction system meeting detailed technical requirements (real‑time bidding, hidden reserve, proxy bidding, etc.). • Plan, advertise, and execute an annual on‑site auction (minimum 800 printed brochures, media advertising, PA system, catering, portable restrooms). • Deliver post‑auction reporting, financial settlements, and maintain required guarantees (bank letter, surety bond, or cashier’s check) for each on‑site event.
