Description

The successful contractor will be required to perform a visual stream assessment of 303(d) listed stream segments within Blount County's MS4 area, non-analytical monitoring for each segment, and dry weather screening at outfalls from the Blount County MS4. The contractor will need to use the Stream Corridor Assessment Survey (SCA) Protocols by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources as a guideline for performing visual stream assessments. The primary goal of the monitoring and mapping plan is to comply with the current MS4 General N.P.D.E.S. permit and monitoring requirements. • The contractor will need to identify observable environmental problems present within a stream system and along its riparian corridor. • The contractor will need to provide sufficient information on each problem so that a preliminary determination of both the severity and correctability of a problem can be made. • The contractor will need to provide sufficient information so that restoration efforts can be prioritized. • The contractor will need to provide a quick assessment of both in-and near-stream habitat conditions.

Budget estimate

$50,000 – $200,000

The budget for this project is not explicitly stated. However, based on the scope of work, which includes visual stream assessment, non-analytical monitoring, and dry weather screening, the budget could be estimated to be in the range of $50,000 to $200,000. This estimate is based on the assumption that the project will require a team of environmental consultants and field technicians to conduct the assessments and monitoring. The actual budget could be higher or lower, depending on the specific requirements of the project and the bidder's experience and qualifications.
