Sandbar Static Excitation Replacement

The Tri‑Dam Power Authority is seeking a qualified vendor to design, manufacture, deliver, install, test, and commission a new digital static excitation system for the Sandbar Powerhouse. The scope includes providing a Power Potential Transformer (PPT) with associated breakers, power converters, voltage regulator, control hardware, software configuration tools, spare parts, on‑site engineering support, factory and site acceptance testing, and training. Bidders must submit a lump‑sum “not‑to‑exceed” price covering all materials, design, fabrication, shipping, installation, testing (minimum 5 days on‑site), and optional redundancy or panel‑mount options. The contract will be awarded after a bid opening on Oct 7, 2026; work must commence within 10 days of purchase order and equipment delivered by Oct 15, 2027, with unit outage expected Dec 2027. • Design and engineering of excitation system to meet IEEE‑421 standards. • Manufacture and delivery of PPT, converters, regulator, and control cabinets. • Optional redundancy (N+1 thyristor bridges) and panel‑mount options. • Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT). • On‑site field engineer support (per‑diem) and training for operators. • Full documentation, drawings, and quality‑control plans. • Mandatory RSVP for optional job walk on Aug 24, 2026.
