FAA STC for NOAA GML Greenhouse Gas Aircraft System (NGAS)

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is seeking sources capable of providing an STC for the NOAA GML Greenhouse Gas Aircraft System (NGAS) to extend certification to additional aircraft platforms. The contractor will be required to provide Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE), hardware kitting and provisioning, and on-site surveying and installation support. The project will involve modifying Boeing 737-800 or Boeing 737 MAX series aircraft to accommodate the NGAS system. The contractor will need to provide project management, engineering, and on-site technical personnel with expertise in aircraft modifications, structural verification, fluid dynamics, FAA STC amendments, and avionics integration. The key tasks include: • STC Amendment, verification, and NRE • Hardware kitting and provisioning • On-site survey and installation support • Providing monthly project management and status update meetings • Configuring the Astronics CSC Sabre AIO Unit to interface with the aircraft ARINC 429 ports • Providing 5G cellular access for upload pathways The anticipated period of performance is from September 21, 2026, to September 20, 2027, with options for additional tasks.
