Description
The County of Kauai is seeking a qualified vendor to furnish, equip, and deliver a single police‑marked prisoner transport van (Ford Transit‑type) with a full suite of emergency vehicle equipment, decals, and integrated communications systems for the Kauai Police Department. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive bidder who meets strict vehicle specifications, licensing, and on‑island service‑facility requirements. Delivery must occur within 365 calendar days of the notice to proceed, and the vendor must provide warranties, manuals, and a service/repair shop on Kauai.
• One (1) new Ford Transit‑style cargo van, fully marked and outfitted for prisoner transport
• Complete emergency equipment package (LED lighting, sirens, public address, gun lock, fire extinguisher, prisoner transport system, etc.)
• Required vehicle specifications (engine, transmission, safety features, HVAC, interior finishes)
• Mandatory on‑site service/repair facility on Kauai and appropriate state motor‑vehicle licenses
• Delivery to Kauai Police Department, 3990 Kaana St., Lihue, HI 96766 within 365 days
• Warranty: standard manufacturer warranty for vehicle plus 3‑year warranty on emergency equipment
• Vendor must submit sealed electronic bids via the Public Purchase System by Oct 30, 2026, 9 PM EDT.
