Vermont Adaptation & Risk Index

The Agency of Natural Resources, Climate Action Office is seeking to establish contracts with one or more companies to develop a Vermont Adaptation & Risk Index. The index will integrate social, environmental, economic, and infrastructure vulnerability indicators to support consistent, defensible prioritization of climate resilience investments across Vermont. The project aims to strengthen and connect existing Vermont tools, incorporate future climate risk, and lay the groundwork for long-term maintenance and institutional adoption of the index. • The index will be used to support project prioritization, funding decisions, and interagency coordination. • The index will incorporate social, environmental, economic, and infrastructure vulnerability indicators. • The index will be developed using a consistent statewide climate modeling framework. • The index will be designed to be scalable and adaptable to different geographic scales. • The index will include a visualization tool to display index scores.
