NOTICE OF INTENT TO MAKE A PROPRIETARY SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE

The Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD) is seeking to purchase accreditation services from the American Correctional Association (ACA) for the Evins State Juvenile Correctional Facility. The ACA is the only national accreditation source that can accredit adult and juvenile correctional agencies and facilities using national ACA expected practices. The contract is expected to last from May 10, 2026, to May 9, 2030, with a total cost not to exceed $165,000. The services include audit assessments and final decision on accreditation granted by the Commission on Accreditation for Corrections. • The ACA is the only correctional association that is nationally recognized for its accreditation process. • The ACA accreditation services are proprietary and do not partner with any third-party vendors that offer the same accreditation services. • The contract is for a period of 4 years, with a total cost not to exceed $165,000. • The services include audit assessments and final decision on accreditation granted by the Commission on Accreditation for Corrections.
