Drilling Program to Determine Critical Mineral Concentrations in ND Lignite

The North Dakota Department of Mineral Resources, Geological Survey division is soliciting proposals for drilling and coring a 15-hole project in south-central North Dakota. The project aims to determine critical mineral concentrations in lignites. The contractor will be required to provide drilling and coring services, including mobilization and demobilization, and to submit daily reports and logs. The project is expected to start in September 2025 and be completed by June 30, 2026. • The contractor must have experience drilling and coring Fort Union strata (coal-bearing rocks). • The contractor must provide all necessary equipment and personnel for the project. • The contractor must comply with all state and federal requirements applicable to the contract. • The contractor must provide a cost proposal, including mobilization and demobilization fees, drilling and coring fees, and any other applicable costs.
