Description

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is conducting a market survey to solicit statements of interest and capabilities from interested vendors for Architecture and Engineering (A&E) services. The services will be required for commercial/industrial/utility-type facilities located at the FAA Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC). The scope of work includes providing complete detailed designs for planning, maintenance, repair, alteration, extension, conversion, or modernization of existing buildings or facilities, and new construction projects. The A&E services will be required for various projects, including Type A, Type B, and Type C services. • Type A services: development of program requirements, field surveys and investigations, determination of project feasibility, preparation of concept drawings and project schedule milestones, and other services. • Type B services: construction documents for competitive bidding and associated construction administration, including site investigations, review and/or coordination meetings, preparation of construction drawings and project specifications, and construction cost estimates. • Type C services: additional construction administration services, inspections, testing, and other services beyond those listed in Type B services.

Budget estimate

$5,000,000 – $50,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is not explicitly stated in the document. However, based on the scope of work and the fact that the FAA is seeking a Multiple Award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) follow-on contract, it is likely that the budget will be in the form of task orders or delivery orders with a maximum value. The maximum value of the contract is not specified, but it is likely to be in the millions of dollars, given the scope of the work and the fact that the contract will be for a period of up to 5 years (1 base year and 4 option years). A rough estimate of the budget could be between $5 million and $50 million, depending on the number of task orders or delivery orders awarded and the scope of work required for each task order.
