The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is seeking a qualified engineering consulting firm to provide design services for flood damage repair work at Green Island and Princeton Wildlife Management Areas. The selected firm will prepare final designs, including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates, and will be responsible for coordinating the design process with DNR staff, obtaining permits, and providing construction administration support during the construction. The firm will also be retained to provide onsite construction inspection assistance and to answer pre-bid questions. Some key services to be provided include: • Developing facility plans • Assisting with the construction bidding process • Providing a written assessment and recommendations for best repair practices • Preparing bid documents and addenda • Conducting a pre-bid meeting and a preconstruction meeting • Providing construction administration support during the construction The bid information, addenda, drawings, and specifications will be distributed by the DNR. Vendors are required to submit their bids through IMPACTS.
