2026 EDI Request for Proposals - Current EDI Projects - Capital + Capacity Building

The City of Seattle is seeking proposals for the Equitable Development Initiative (EDI) funding to support projects that address displacement and lack of access to opportunity for historically marginalized communities. The current funding round has $14.8M available for capacity building and existing capital projects for existing EDI Funding Recipients. The proposal should demonstrate a connection between the organization and the ability to impact the Equity Drivers identified in the Equitable Development Implementation Plan. The project should have a clear understanding of the potential risks and strategies to mitigate those risks. The proposal will be evaluated based on the EDI Equity Drivers, Depth of Relationship to Community, Site Control Readiness and Project Scope, and Displacement Risk. • The proposal should include a narrative description of the funding request, budget, and timeline. • The proposal should demonstrate a clear understanding of the project's feasibility and risks. • The proposal should include a detailed sources and uses budget and cash flow for the project. • The proposal should demonstrate a depth of awareness and alignment with other organizations serving the identified community.
