Spanish Heritage Curriculum

The Des Moines Independent Community School District is seeking a qualified firm to provide a comprehensive Spanish language curriculum for grades 9-12. The curriculum should be aligned to national and state standards, promote proficiency, intercultural competence, and student engagement. The selected vendor will be expected to provide instructional design and content, digital platform and resources, assessment system, differentiation and equity, and professional learning and support. • The district anticipates selecting a vendor to provide a high-quality, standards-aligned Spanish language curriculum. • The curriculum should include a vertically aligned Spanish 1-4 curriculum with clearly defined proficiency targets. • The vendor should provide a user-friendly digital curriculum platform with interactive student features. • The assessment system should include standards-aligned, performance-based assessments measuring interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational communication.
