Construction Administration & Inspection Miscellaneous Services

The City of Charlotte’s Water department is seeking contractors to provide construction administration and inspection services for the Mallard Creek Solids Improvements Project. The scope includes overseeing and inspecting installation of solids‑treatment equipment (heat exchangers, pumps, gas‑treatment, biogas flare, e‑house, boiler building), as well as upgrades to digester buildings (drains, doors, guardrails, hoist, concrete repairs, HVAC, piping, vents) and full rehabilitation of existing drying beds. The awarded vendor must maintain required insurance coverage and will manage the construction phase slated for summer 2026. • Manage and inspect installation of spiral heat exchangers, recirculation and sludge transfer pumps, feed and hot‑water pumps, gas‑treatment equipment, and a new biogas flare. • Oversee upgrades to digester facilities (structural repairs, HVAC, water piping, safety guardrails, hoist installation). • Conduct full rehabilitation of existing drying beds, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards. • Provide construction administration, inspection, and quality‑control services throughout the project lifecycle. • Must maintain automobile, general liability, and workers‑compensation insurance as specified.
