Description
The City of El Cajon is seeking a qualified contractor to perform the Phase B restoration of Broadway Creek, a 450‑foot earthen channel. The work includes demolition of existing concrete, earthwork, construction of soldier‑pile retaining walls, concrete structures, storm‑drain installation, temporary creek diversion, erosion and sediment control, landscaping, irrigation, paving, fencing, and utility relocation. The contractor must provide a 10 % bid bond, performance and labor‑material bonds equal to 100 % of the contract price, and meet extensive environmental, safety, and prevailing‑wage requirements. The project is funded in part by the San Diego River Conservancy and must be completed within 160 working days after the Notice to Proceed.
