On-Call for Course Management & Event Coordination

The City of Portland is seeking proposals from qualified proposers with demonstrated experience in volunteer coordination and event management. The successful Proposer will provide on-call course management and event coordination services for various City events, including Sunday Parkways, Play Streets, and Street Plaza Activations. The Proposer will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing volunteers, as well as providing vendor management services, including vendor registration, payment tracking, and communications. The Proposer will also be responsible for course management, including traffic control deployment, public outreach, and communications. Some key responsibilities of the Proposer include: • Recruiting, training, and managing volunteers for City events • Providing vendor management services, including vendor registration and payment tracking • Coordinating course management, including traffic control deployment and public outreach • Developing and implementing emergency action plans for each event • Providing monthly billing invoices and event attendance totals • Writing post-event and final evaluation reports for vendors and volunteers The City is looking for a Proposer who can demonstrate their ability to provide these services and work collaboratively with City staff to support the success of City events.
