Public Notice - ADL 422949 - Public Easement - Federal Aviation Administration - Livengood

The State of Alaska’s Division of Mining, Land and Water has received an application from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Weather Camera Program for a public easement in Livengood, Alaska (ADL 422949). The easement (≈0.04 acres, 54 ft × 30 ft) would allow construction, operation, and maintenance of a Visual Weather Observation System (VWOS) including a structure, four solar‑panel platforms, and a propane‑generator. The FAA seeks a 20‑year term and has offered to maintain the equipment. The public may submit comments on the proposal by November 9 2026. The applicant must provide a land‑use permit application, maps, fees, insurance, and a performance bond. The site is on state‑owned land within Section 31, Township 8 N, Range 5 W, Fairbanks Meridian, adjacent to an Alyeska pipeline facility.
