Visual Stream Assessment

The successful contractor will be required to perform a visual stream assessment, non-analytical monitoring, and dry weather screening for the Blount County MS4 area. The visual stream assessment will be performed using the Stream Corridor Assessment Survey (SCA) Protocols by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. The non-analytical monitoring will be performed for each 303(d) listed stream segment within Blount County's jurisdictional boundaries. The contractor will also be required to perform dry weather screening at outfalls from the Blount County MS4. • The contractor will need to provide a detailed report, including photographs and GPS locations of outfall dry weather screening. • The contractor will need to comply with the current MS4 General N.P.D.E.S. permit and monitoring requirements. • The contractor will need to identify any impairment(s) in each impaired stream segment. • The contractor will need to provide sufficient information for restoration efforts to be prioritized.
