The National Park Service is seeking a vendor to supply 75 tons of weed-free hay for the 2025 Bison Round up at Badlands National Park. The hay must meet specific specifications, including being free of noxious weeds and weed seeds, composed of grasses native to South Dakota or common forage grasses, and containing not more than 20% alfalfa or yellow clover. The successful bidder must be certified to sell hay in the state of South Dakota and be registered at www.SAM.gov. The delivery of hay is expected between 08/04/2025 and 08/29/2025. • The hay must be in the form of big round bales, weighing approximately 1,000 to 1,500 lbs. • The hay must be well cured with low moisture content and not be musty or moldy. • The seller must certify that the hay meets the specified requirements. • The delivery will be coordinated through the vendor and Park point of contact provided at time of award.
