In Home Aide and Caregiver Respite

The Chatham County Aging Services Department is seeking a contractor to provide in-home aide and caregiver respite services to approximately 80 older adults and family caregivers in Chatham County. The contractor will be expected to assist older adults with personal care tasks, light housekeeping, and meal preparation, and provide caregiver respite services as approved and arranged by the Aging Services Department. The contractor must comply with all relevant local, state, and federal laws and requirements, and maintain documentation of aide competency, training, and supervision. • The contractor must provide in-home aide services in accordance with the requirements of the N.C. Division of Health Service Regulation and the service policies and procedures of the NC Division of Aging and Adult Services. • The contractor must ensure that in-home aides are qualified and appropriately supervised. • The contractor must maintain client records, including assessments, service plans, and authorization for services. • The contractor must comply with insurance requirements, including worker's compensation, commercial general liability, and automobile liability insurance.
