Description

The Lowell Regional Wastewater Utility is seeking bids for the supply of bulk liquid polymer for use at the Duck Island Wastewater Treatment Facility. The selected vendor will be required to supply a single polymer that is suitable for both segregated sludge thickening and dewatering processes. The contract will be for a period of two years, with an optional one-year extension. The vendor will be responsible for delivering the polymer to the facility, and will be required to perform jar testing to determine the optimal polymer dose. The contract will be awarded to the bidder with the lowest total contract cost. • The polymer must be compatible with the facility's automatic feed equipment. • The vendor must deliver the polymer within four weeks of a placed order. • The vendor will be responsible for cleaning the unloading area after deliveries. • The contract includes an optional one-year extension. • The facility has two 3,000-gallon storage tanks and one 6,150-gallon storage tank for accepting bulk polymer deliveries.
