Request for Proposals: Mobile Harbor Container Crane Barge

The Port of New Orleans is seeking a qualified supplier to provide one mobile harbor container crane barge, including the crane equipment, barge platform, and associated operational services, to support container handling operations at the port. This RFP requires bidders to submit a complete proposal package by the specified deadline and to attend a mandatory pre‑proposal meeting. The award will be based on technical capability, experience with similar marine crane projects, and demonstrated commitment to small business participation. • Provide a fully functional mobile container crane barge (crane, barge, power, controls). • Demonstrate experience operating heavy lifting equipment in marine environments and compliance with port safety regulations. • Submit required certifications (SLDBE, SBE Hudson, etc.) to earn EBE participation points. • Meet the mandatory pre‑proposal meeting on May 1, 2026 and respond to questions by May 6, 2026. • Deliver the crane barge service in accordance with the contract schedule and performance standards defined in the RFP documents.
