RVARC 2029 Water Supply Plan Technical Assistance

RVARC is seeking a qualified consultant to provide on‑call technical assistance for water supply planning across six counties and three cities, covering two DEQ‑designated regional planning areas (Roanoke River 1 and Upper James 2). The consultant will support the development of a water supply plan through to its expected conclusion in October 2029, delivering outputs as funding becomes available, beginning with Task 1 which already has secured funding. This work requires expertise in water resources planning, stakeholder coordination, and technical report preparation. • Scope: On‑call consulting for water supply planning, deliverables tied to funding availability. • Location: Counties of Alleghany, Bedford, Botetourt, Craig, Franklin, and Roanoke; Cities of Covington, Roanoke, and Salem, VA. • Timeline: Services commence after award and continue through October 2029 (approximately 3 years). • Funding: Task 1 funded; subsequent tasks contingent on additional funding. • Deliverables: Technical studies, stakeholder engagement reports, final water‑supply plan documentation.
