Description
The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is seeking a qualified contractor to provide emergency debris removal services on a contingency IDIQ basis. When a disaster (e.g., tornado, severe storm) is declared, the contractor will mobilize resources to collect, process, and dispose of disaster‑generated debris from public rights‑of‑way, municipal facilities, and other public areas, and to establish, operate, and close temporary debris staging and reduction (TDSR) sites. The effort is performance‑based, with strict timelines for mobilization, debris removal (within 90 days), and final disposal/recycling (within 180 days), and includes reporting, safety, environmental, and insurance compliance requirements.
• Remove, process, and legally dispose of non‑hazardous disaster debris across Metro Nashville/Davidson County.
• Establish and manage TDSR sites, including HHW containment, security, traffic control, and site restoration.
• Meet aggressive mobilization (36‑120 hr) and performance metrics (200‑250 cy / hr grinder throughput, liquidated damages for delays).
• Provide required bonds, insurance, FEMA certification, and adhere to EBO goals (now removed) and SBE/SDV participation.
