The University seeks a qualified contractor to fully replace two existing 25‑ton rooftop HVAC units (RTU‑1 and RTU‑2) at Whitfield Hall. The scope covers complete demolition, removal, crane‑lift operations, installation of new Trane packaged units, all associated mechanical, electrical, and control work, testing, commissioning, and close‑out documentation. The contractor must verify site conditions, provide structural and curb adaptations, obtain permits, and coordinate with the building automation system.
• Supply and install two 25‑ton Trane electric rooftop units (model EDK300A3S0A**07) with R‑454B refrigerant and Symbio 700 controls
• Perform full site investigation, roof curb verification, structural assessments, and provide engineered adapters as needed
• Provide crane, rigging, and lift plan; execute safe removal of existing units and placement of new units
• Complete all mechanical, electrical, and controls work including new 72 kW electric heaters, duct modifications, and BAS integration
• Conduct refrigerant recovery, leak testing, startup, testing, balancing, and commissioning with Trane factory‑start service
• Deliver all required submittals, permits, as‑built drawings, O&M manuals, and owner training; ensure code‑compliant, weather‑tight installation
