Improvements to Griffith Lake Dam

The State of Delaware, Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, is seeking bids for the construction of improvements to Griffith Lake Dam. The project involves demolition and removal of the existing spillway and abutment training walls, construction of a new pile-supported cast-in-place concrete spillway, and installation of a galvanized steel bar screen trash rack and a multi-leaf self-contained stainless steel weir gate. The project must be completed within 520 calendar days of the Notice to Proceed. • The project is located in Kent and Sussex Counties. • A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on December 4, 2026. • Questions regarding the project must be submitted by December 15, 2025. • Bidders must provide a bid security equivalent to ten percent of the bid amount. • The successful bidder must post a performance bond and payment bond in a sum equal to 100 percent of the contract price upon execution of the contract.
