Description
The City of Pensacola is seeking a qualified demolition contractor to decommission and demolish multiple aging structures on the southern portion of the former Baptist Hospital campus. The work includes hazardous material (asbestos, leadâbased paint, PCBs, eâwaste) identification, abatement, full structural demolition, debris management, utility disconnection, erosion and sediment control, and site stabilization to prepare the 10+ acre site for future redevelopment. The contract is fully funded by a $5 million HUD CDBGâDR award and must comply with federal, state, and local environmental, labor, and civilârights regulations. A mandatory preâproposal site tour is scheduled, and questions are due August 28 2026. Proposals are due September 16 2026 (extended by Addendum 2). The award is expected in Fall 2026 with work commencing Winter 2026.

⢠Mandatory site visit 08/24/2026; attendance required for eligibility.
⢠Proposal format: hardâcopy sealed package (3 copies + electronic PDF) plus electronic submission via Demandstar/Central Bidding.
⢠Evaluation criteria include technical approach, safety plan, past performance, and compliance with labor/Section 3 requirements.
